Safe Harbours for Families is the title of NAPCAN’s latest short film, created to support the theme of National Child Protection Week 2019 that:

“Children thrive when their parents have the support they need to navigate life’s choppy waters.”

The film is based on the Science of Talking About Parenting research from the FrameWorks Institute US & Parenting Research Centre, and is designed to be a useful resource for anyone who works with children and families.

NAPCAN encourages you to freely use and share the 3-minute film to:

  • promote conversations about how we can better support children and families
  • highlight practical ways that we can use metaphors and consistent messaging to engage the whole community in caring for children.
