All children and young people have the right to be safe and feel safe, wherever they are – when they are at school, playing sports, participating in clubs, in a part-time job, or accessing health and wellbeing services.
The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse highlighted the extent of child sexual abuse in organisations and the need for organisations to have a culture of child safety embedded into daily practice.
The National Principles for Child Safe Organisations and Child Safe Standards provide guidance on the policies, procedures and practices that organisations should have in place to protect children and young people from all forms of harm and abuse and help them to thrive.

Upon completion of the 4-hour workshop and return of the post-training survey, you will be provided access to a range of resources to support your child safety practices in your organisation.
This workshop promotes a whole-organisation approach to child safety and wellbeing. We encourage all leaders, staff and volunteers in organisations that engage with children and young people to participate.
