See training calendar to book your place. For other locations please submit an enquiry to express interest in this program.

NAPCAN works in partnership with communities to develop Safety Action Plans for Children and Young People. NAPCAN has developed a series of interactive workshops to up-skill community workers in creating safer environments for children, preventing child abuse and neglect, promoting respectful relationships and preventing family violence. Using adult learning principles the workshops incorporate group activities, film clips, scenarios, discussions and the development of posters with key messages for the community.

Action plans for children are developed throughout the workshops and becomes the focus of a final mentoring session with key staff. These staff are then provided with a Prevention Tool Kit that comprises all of the film clips, powerpoints, resources and activities that can be delivered in a range of settings to children, young people and families.

These workshops are developed and delivered by our highly skilled, highly experienced team of professionals. The workshops are typically held over 3 days and have been successfully delivered in many regional and remote communities.
