NAPCAN congratulates our own Ellen Poyner.

NAPCAN congratulates Ellen Poyner, who has been awarded a Churchill Fellowship to conduct further research and investigation into family violence and sexual assault prevention programs and evaluations.

Ellen hopes to gain insight into and practical application of:

  • Different approaches to program development, including with Indigenous communities that align with best practice;
  • Innovative evaluations which measure impact and gather qualitative feedback;
  • Processes for building partnerships  between schools and violence prevention organisations.

Ellen, who is one of our Senior Project Officers and Trainers in the Northern Territory and South Australia, will undertake this research in the United States and Canada; aiming to learn from leading organisations who have experience in cross-cultural program development with Indigenous communities and implement this learning in Australia.

We look forward to Ellen’s findings.

Once again, congratulations Ellen from the entire NAPCAN team, we are very proud of you!
