White Ribbon Day 2015

NAPCAN stands with White Ribbon to end violence against women and their children. With more than one million Australian children affected by domestic violence, a recognised form of child abuse, it is vital we all play our part to prevent it.

We congratulate White Ribbon on their successful White Ribbon Day campaign on 25th November, which included over 500 events across the country.

Research has shown that children who have been exposed to intimate partner abuse have an increased risk of mental health issues as well as behavioural and learning difficulties.

Gender based violence impacts all Australians.

A commitment to ending violence against women is a commitment to ensuring that women, children and men live in safety free from all forms of violence.
