Toowoomba – Child Protection, Education and the High Risk Teen’ – A Collaborative Response’

High quality presentations, a hypothetical and significant key note speakers make this a must for anyone working in, or interested in working in the families space in the Region.

This is a unique opportunity to provide information and advice to Symposium participants and to strengthen networks and partnerships within the system. We invite services to set up a counter or stall to promote your organisation.  This may include any display that you choose.  Be creative!  This is also an opportunity for USQ students, who have an interest in Human Services or are undertaking allied fields of study, to access information about our local support system.

  • Dr Wayne Petherick –Forensic criminologist and Associate Professor of Criminology at Bond University, presenting on adolescence and violence.
  • Dr Chelsea Leach – Forensic psychologist and founder of Pracademics™, – Speaking on TICS – Trauma-informed and child-safe: What we learn at the beach.
  • Dr Kay Ayre and Dr Govind Krishnamoorthy – Speaking on trauma informed behaviour and behavioural support.
