Children and young people thrive when they have the opportunity to fully participate in their community and broader society.
Join us for a conversation about the importance of raising the voices of young people and how we can work together to make sure this happens.
We’ll hear from:
- The Raise Our Voice campaign and learn more about the Youth Voice in Parliament project, which invited children and young people to submit speeches to their MPs and Senators to be presented in Parliament.
- Young people themselves who can tell us more about what children’s rights mean to them and their experiences of getting more involved.
- Projects in Queensland and the NT that are supporting children’s rights in creative ways.
This webinar has been organised in support of Children’s Week 2021 (but will be held during the following week). This year’s theme is based on Article 15 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: Children have the right to meet together and to join groups and organisations, as long as this does not stop other people from enjoying their rights.
