Become a child safe organisation

Blue Mountains Coalition Against Violence and Abuse (CAVA) is inviting all organisations in the Blue Mountains, who work with children and young people, to work towards becoming a Child Safe Organisation, based on the 10 National Principle for Child Safe Organisations.  We are asking organisations to begin by completing the Introductory self-assessment tool for organisations, published by the Australian Human Rights Commission. During Child Protection Week, CAVA will run a large advertorial in the local Newspaper, outlining what a Child Safe Organisation is and the importance, including the names of all the Blue Mountain organisations who have taken on the challenge.  CAVA will also follow up progress being made by the named organisations.
