Child Abuse & Neglect Training

Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Mandatory Reporting Workshop – 3 hours.

Play your part in the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Learning about child abuse and neglect, and your legislative reporting responsibilities is important because 3 in 5 Australian children and young people experience some form of abuse and neglect.

At NAPCAN we believe in the prevention of child abuse and neglect and that everyone has a role to play in this.

Join our interactive workshop to learn more about:

  • What children and young people say is important to them, including their human rights.
  • The different types of abuse, what they are and the impact they are having on Australian children and young people.
  • How to recognise, respond and report child abuse and neglect concerns – what your legislative responsibilities are.
  • Child maltreatment is preventable and how you can play your part in keeping children and young people safe in your community.

Who should attend:

This workshop covers essential knowledge for anyone who has anything to do with children and young people either indirectly or directly and is important for all employees and volunteers.

Upon completion of the 3 hour workshop and return of the post-training feedback form, you will receive a certificate of attendance and an eKit with resources to further support the work you do in the prevention of child abuse and neglect of children and young people
