Together4Kids is a therapeutic service for children who are homeless or have experienced family domestic violence, based at Relationships Australia SA. The Garden Therapeutic program is just one of a range of programs developed by T4K  and was originally developed as a group program. The Garden 8 week group program continues to be delivered across Adelaide.

The Garden Therapeutic Dyad program is designed specifically for a single parent and their infant or toddler aged 0-4 years, delivered over 8 sessions by a trained practitioner. Generally the program is delivered in the family home. The new practitioner’s manual provides a background to the design of the  The Garden –Therapeutic Dyad program, providing information on the theories that underpin the therapeutic intent, and a practical guide to setting up, delivering, closing and evaluating each of the 8 sessions with the parent and child. Details about everything that is needed to run the sessions and all resources are all included. There are Aboriginal songs and activities developed for Aboriginal families, as well as information and advice for non- Aboriginal practitioners who maybe delivering this program to Aboriginal families. The Garden Therapeutic Dyad Program is currently being delivered by T4K, targeted intervention services where there is are child protection concerns and to families reunifying with children who have been removed by child protection services

Join us for morning tea while the Together4Kids team present and officially launch the Dyad program, the new practitioner’s manual as well as the accompanying train the practitioner professional development course. An opportunity will be available to register for the professional development course for those workers wanting to deliver The Garden Therapeutic Dyad Program for their families.
