Little Gardeners is an outdoor program for parents and carers with children not at school (and anyone that wants to get involved) happening throughout the year on Monday mornings 9-10.30am, held in the natural surround at Lakeside Drive Community Garden.
For Children’s Week we will be holding a planting day where kids can help with some planting in the children’s garden and families can pot up cuttings or seeds from the garden to take home.
Free for members or else gold coin donation. Anyone is welcome.
Bring your own mat, snacks and water. And beware the mosquitoes could be out this week, so come covered or be equipped with some repellent.
Access: There are gates either end of the garden along Lakeside Drive, and one midway down along the footpath.
Parking options: 1. Turn right into the driveway of the PowerWater substation and then travel through the open boom gate along the dirt track to find your way around to a parking area at the southern end (closest to Trower Rd) of the garden. 2. At the northern end (closest to CDU) gate there is a small drive off the main road.
