SUMMARY:Screen addicted kids and parents with Dr. Justin Coulson - FREE Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Is your family screen-addicted? \nCOVID Lockdowns have changed the way our families interact with screens. Between homeschooling and working from home\, many families are spending a lot more time on their devices than usual. \nSo how can we stop the drama around screens and help our children have a healthy screen-time balance? And what about our own screen behaviours? \nJoin Dr Justin Coulson\, one of Australia’s most trusted parenting experts\, as he unpacks how families can create a healthy screen-time balance: \nThis webinar will show you: \n\nWhy the concept of screen-time misses the point and leads to unhelpful conflict about tech\nHow to eliminate the drama around screens with most kids in most situations without having to ‘ban’ devices\, especially in a COVID environment\nWhat parents really need to worry about when it comes to screens\, and what they can relax about\nThe sneaky ways our kids are using screens without our knowledge\nHow we can make screens work in our family’s favour\nHow parents can model better behaviours for their children while also benefiting from more connection as a family.\n\nThis presentation will challenge your views\, and change the way you talk about screens and tech in your home – for the better.

SUMMARY:Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson
DESCRIPTION:Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson – Join our online broadcast on Thursday 5 September 2019 in Child Protection Week \n\nOne of our best-loved Day for Daniel activities\, Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson\, will now be available in National Child Protection Week. The lesson is a 20-minute educational video which covers important personal safety topics. Last year\, over 100\,000 students watched the live stream on Day for Daniel and a further 100\,000 are estimated to have accessed it in the following week. \nNow in its third year\, this edition of ABCSL will be designed for upper primary school students. We’re indulging our inner journalists with a news bulletin theme: #CSL. Students will learn about their right to be safe and how to recognise\, react and report in unsafe situations.\nFeedback from educators has revealed that it is valuable to access this resource ahead of Day for Daniel. As such\, the Foundation has decided to launch ABCSL in National Child Protection Week\, which takes place from the 1st to the 7th of September. \nRegister online at https://danielmorcombefoundation.com.au/australias-biggest-child-safety-lesson-2/ to join the live stream on Thursday the 5th of September from all over Australia.
