SUMMARY:Creating Child Safe Organisations in the NT - Briefing for leaders\, management and board members
DESCRIPTION:Children’s Week is the perfect time to reflect on how our organisations can do more to keep children safely connected. \nAll children have the right to be safe and to feel safe all of the time. \nIn light of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse we know that it is critical to embed a child safe culture into every single organisation that has anything to do with children or young people\, either directly or indirectly. Leaders in organisations play a critical role in developing and maintaining a culture that values children and young people and is committed to treating their needs and their safety as the top priority. \nThis 1.5 hour session provides an overview of the 10 National Principles for Child Safe Organisations developed by the Australian Human Rights Commission. It includes steps that leaders can take to promote the safety\, engagement and wellbeing of children and young people and prevent harm within their organisation. Help children to thrive by embedding a child safe culture in your organisation.

SUMMARY:NT Acts of Kindness Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Being kind is good for our health\, good for those around us\, and especially good for our children.  \nAnd best of all\, it’s contagious! \nDuring National Child Protection Week 2020\, NAPCAN launched the NT Acts of Kindness Challenge to highlight the power of kindness as a tool for creating safe and nurturing environments for children. \nBetween now and Children’s Week we want to challenge adults and children to see how many acts of kindness we can record throughout the Territory. \nUse the activity sheet to talk about the power of kindness and record acts of kindness people do for you\, you do for someone else\, or that you hear about. You can also visit our NT Acts of Kindness webpage to record your acts of kindness and see kindness tips sent in to us by Territorians. \nLet’s create kindness in corridors\, clubs\, classes\, committees and communities – and spread a kindness epidemic across the NT! \n

SUMMARY:Child Safe Organisations - Briefing for leaders\, management and board members
DESCRIPTION:All children have the right to be safe and to feel safe all of the time.
