SUMMARY:Celebrating "Queanbeyan Children's Week 2023"
DESCRIPTION:The children of Queanbeyan and surrounding towns are in for a treat this October\, with a huge party being thrown in their honour. To celebrate Children’s Week\, 21-29th October\, different organisations are coming together to put on a fun-filled day at the park for young children. \nThe event “Queanbeyan Children’s Week 2023” is open to children from across our region\, and their carers. Being held on Saturday the 28th of October from 10am-1pm at Queanbeyan Town Park (Haddin Oval)\, the event will begin with a very special Acknowledgement of Country. \nAboriginal story time\, loose parts to play\, nature play\, dancing\, yoga\, music\, healthy munch workshops\, quiet corner\, healthy activities\, a fundraiser sausage sizzle for a local organisation and much more\, are important ways to boost children’s wellbeing. \nWe are expecting around 300 children from the various preschools in town\, the Playgroups and the general public. \nThis event is being organised by representatives from the Queanbeyan Schools as Community Centres\, Queanbeyan Parelang Regional Council\, NSW Department of Education\, Southern NSW Local Health district\, Tresillian\, Treehouse\, Queanbeyan and District Preschool Association\, Campbell Page Helping Hands Program\, Queanbeyan Multicultural Centre\, Barnardos\, EACH\, Australian Breastfeeding Association\, Gecko Sport.
