SUMMARY:Child Protection Week challenge
DESCRIPTION:The PB West Child Protection Week Challenge started as a small event last year that quickly led to the involvement of over 1000 people and organisations. It proved to be an effortless and very effective way of PUTTING CHILDREN FIRST and foremost in our minds during Child Protection Week. \nHow does it work?\nSimply put\, we agree to spend time each day of child protection week learning\, teaching and engaging with the selected topics—1 topic per weekday.\nThere will be discussion suggestions\, ideas and resources freely available to all who have registered\, as well as a special interest area for parents to help them continue the challenge at home. \nHow can you be involved?\nWe are excited to be bringing our PB West Child Protection Week Challenge to everyone. To be part of our Child Protection Week Challenge follow these five simple steps:\n1. Register here www.pbwest.com.au/cpw\n2. Download the Child Protection Week challenge poster and display it in your class\, home\, early learning centre\, sporting or recreation group.\n3. Look out for the PB West email containing hints\, tips and resources to help you engage with the Child Protection Week Challenge topics each day.\n4. SUMMARY:Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson
DESCRIPTION:Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson – Join our online broadcast on Thursday 5 September 2019 in Child Protection Week \n\nOne of our best-loved Day for Daniel activities\, Australia’s Biggest Child Safety Lesson\, will now be available in National Child Protection Week. The lesson is a 20-minute educational video which covers important personal safety topics. Last year\, over 100\,000 students watched the live stream on Day for Daniel and a further 100\,000 are estimated to have accessed it in the following week. \nNow in its third year\, this edition of ABCSL will be designed for upper primary school students. We’re indulging our inner journalists with a news bulletin theme: #CSL. Students will learn about their right to be safe and how to recognise\, react and report in unsafe situations.\nFeedback from educators has revealed that it is valuable to access this resource ahead of Day for Daniel. As such\, the Foundation has decided to launch ABCSL in National Child Protection Week\, which takes place from the 1st to the 7th of September. \nRegister online at https://danielmorcombefoundation.com.au/australias-biggest-child-safety-lesson-2/ to join the live stream on Thursday the 5th of September from all over Australia.
