SUMMARY:Northern Territory National Child Protection Week webinar
DESCRIPTION:What you can do together you can never do alone: Organisations working together for children and families\nJoin us for the 2021 Northern Territory National Child Protection Week webinar\, “What you can do together you can never do alone – Organisations working together for children and families”. \nNon-for-profit organisations including faith-based organisations and institutions often see each other as strategic competitors. But what if we saw each other as allies? Allies working together towards a community where children thrive and families are supported. \nThis webinar will provide learning and practice examples of how community organisations can work together to achieve a common goal. Featuring voices from the local community\, the webinar will hear from a community leader\, NAPCAN’s NT Manager and prevention practitioner as well as a leader in the faith-based space. \nWe’ll talk about: \n\norganisations working together in marginalised communities\nhow to engage the community in conversations\nconnecting communities from a faith-based perspective\ntips for community members wanting to be heard\nexamples from principles and motivations from other communities\ncommunity consultation and program development\n\nSpeakers:\nDr Coz Crosscombe\, Community Engagement Pastor and consultant to the Anglican Diocese\nMarly Wells\, Manager Family and Community Engagement\, Connected Beginnings\nMeron Looney\, NT Manager\, NAPCAN
