DESCRIPTION:Children’s Week is a national celebration of children’s rights\, talents and citizenship held on the fourth Wednesday of October in Australia to coincide with Universal Children’s Day. Each year the theme of Children’s Week highlights a particular Children’s Right. \n\nThe Theme for 2019 is Article 24 – ‘Children have the right to the best health care possible\, safe water to drink\, nutritious food\, a clean and safe environment\, and information to help them stay well.’ \n\nChildren’s health starts with healthy communities. \nWhere children live\, play and go to school\, can play a big part in how they grow up. \nWe can all help to build a great foundation for healthy children by making sure our communities have quality health care; clean water\, air and green spaces; nutritious food options; support for parents; and safe places to play and socialise. \nChildren’s Week is a great opportunity to join the conversation about how governments and communities can work side by side to keep all children healthy. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChildren’s Week is run by different organisations in each state and territory and many of these have their own websites.
