Art Competition Submission 2023 – Jabiru Youth Group from Jabiru

After a brainstorming session, the youth of Jabiru worked collaboratively to create this art work over a number of sessions. We discussed key words and theme related to topics such as; ‘places I feel safe’, ‘connection’, ‘home’ and ‘country’. Main takeaways were that kids depend on their family and friends as support networks and feel happy and safe at school. It was a wonderful opportunity to wok together to create a meaningful and lasting artwork which promotes connection and belonging in Jabiru.
