Art Competition Submission 2023 – Family support program children from Manunda

We are a Community Hub with a variety of programs centering about community mental health, family support and community development. We wanted all of our young participants to have the chance to be involved, so we had activities at our multicultural playgroup to allow our youngest participants to think about and express what makes them feel safe and connected. We also had art materials and conversation starters in our Child and Adolescent Counselling service waiting area to give our older kids a chance to be involved as well, even though they are not here at the same time. The poster attached is the culmination of all of these activities, the record of conversations had and feelings expressed as we all talked about what makes us a community, what connects us to one another, and how we can all keep each other safe.
