The National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect is a Public Benevolent Institution holding Deductible Gift Recipient status issued by the Australian Tax Office. Funding is acquired through public and corporate donations, fundraising activities, philanthropic trusts, and foundations. Government grants fund some specific projects.

National Child Protection Week Partnerships
In 2006 NAPCAN invited organisations and businesses to join in National Child Protection Week Partnerships. Each Partner contributed to and supported NCPW in a unique way, but the broad role of each Partner was to promote and encourage participation in NCPW throughout their organisation and network.

Continuing to develop a national network of Partners for NCPW will help sustain and increase the profound growth in public profile and participation in the prevention of Australia's most serious social problem - child abuse and neglect MORE
