An independent body, created by philanthropic trusts and foundations, ACCYO is dedicated to increasing the safety of children and young people in organisations throughout Australia . In pursuit of this goal, we have developed a set of standards, extensive training, and a transparent accreditation process. The Ardoch Youth Foundation is a not for profit organisation that works to make education a reality for young people. Ardoch links schools, corporate organisations and communities, generating resources to support and facilitate projects that assist young people and their families, including those experiencing disadvantage. AWCH is a national organisation advocating for the needs of children and families within the health care system in Australia. CAFWAA is the national peak body representing non-government organisations working with children and young people and their families, where abuse and neglect is a major factor in determining the types of services provided.
Some agencies offer a range of out-of-home care and home-based service strategies, and others are concerned with policy development, professional practice and information in relation to this specific area of the broader community services sector. CAFWAA's aim is "to promote the welfare of children and young people in out-of-home care and those at risk of placement, together with their families"

Early Childhood Australia has been a voice for young children since 1938 is the peak advocacy organisation for young children. Early Childhood Australia is committed to the care and education of children from birth to eight; and demonstrates this by supporting all carers and educators, including parents, to engage in best practice in early childhood environments. The Fatherhood Project is a not for profit, non-denominational organisation offering an independent platform for fathers and their families to come together and celebrate fatherhood. Kidsafe is a national organisation which speaks up for our children. It aims to reduce the number of children being killed or maimed from injuries. Kidsafe has branches in every state and territory, and is recognised as a leader in community based and professional activity related to child safety. Northern Territory children in both urban and rural areas are three times more likely to die or to be injured than children living elsewhere in Australia. This frightening statistic is due in part to the Northern Territory 's unique climate and geography, as well as our lifestyle and culture. The Northern Territory Division of Kidsafe began in 1983 and works to reduce the terrible toll of accidents on Territory children. Mensline is the national telephone counselling service for men, supports men who are dealing with family and relationship concerns. It is available 24/7 from anywhere in the country for the cost of a local call. It is managed by Crisis Support Services, a not-for-profit community organisation, and is an initiative of the Commonwealth Department of Family, Community Services and Indifenous Affairs. NACBCS is the peak representative body for all Australian community owned children's services including Long Day Care and Out of School Hours Care services. NACBCS is an unincorporated non-profit organsation. The Association is democratic in structure and relies on participation and inclusive processes to achieve their goals. SANE is an independent national charity helping people affected by mental illness through campaigning, education and research. SANE conducts innovative programs and campaigns to improve the lives of people living with mental illness, their family and friends. The Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC) is the national non government peak body in Australia representing the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. SNAICC operates from a membership base of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-based child care agencies, Multi-functional Aboriginal Children's Services, family support services, foster care agencies, link up and family reunification services, family group homes, community groups and voluntary associations, long day care child care services, pre schools, early childhood education services and services for young people at risk. www.snaicc.asn.au
The Starlight Children's Foundation has been brightening the lives of seriously ill children at a time when they need it most since 1988.. The Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney has produced a film to provide information to parents, carers and professionals about responding to a crying baby. Its goal is to ensure that all those involved with babies understand the importance of not shaking a baby, ever. It provides suggestions and strategies for responding to these stressors.
