Child Friendly Australia

National Families Week 11-17 May
The central aim of this years event is to encourage all Australians to more effectively balance work and family responsibilities.

National Families Week 08 encourages everyone, particularly working parents and employers, to find ways to generate ideas, and take actions which will improve work-family balance for themselves and others. In 2007 the Australian Childhood Foundation released a national survey of children aged between 10 and 14 years. Among the findings were that feeling positively connected to family and friends is a key determinant of happiness and wellbeing for children. MORE Children deserve to have quality time with their most trusted adults. Families that that can commit themselves to a sensible balance of work and play will ensure the wellbeing of all Australian children.
