NAPCAN is establishing itself as a voice and support for Child Friendly Communities; the wellbeing of children; and the prevention of child abuse and neglect.

Evidence
Windale NSW, in the Lake Macquarie region, was originally established as a Department of Housing suburb. In 1999 Windale was in the worst 1 per cent of NSW postcodes for instances of child abuse and neglect.  In 2004 it was in the best 25 per cent. MORE

National Child Protection Week Evaluation
Organised annually by the NAPCAN Foundation, National Child Protection Week is a key event on the community calendar aimed at increasing awareness of the problem of child abuse and neglect, inspiring people to take action to help prevent it, and sustaining their capacity for action.
